about Danielle
Photography has been a part of my life since a very young age. As a little girl I used to take my parents Vivitar 700 camera to school to sneak snapshots of the cute boys on the playground. As a teenager I took my Nikkomat 35mm camera to various hotels located in downtown San Francisco to sneak snapshots of legendary rockstars of the 1980's.
In 1986 I spent my summer studying Black and White photography at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. It is there that I believe I learned the importance of composition.
From 1990 through 1992 I spent a year and a half studying at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. It is there that I believe I learned the importance of good light.
Photographing babies and children in natural light environments became my passion after the birth of my sons. From the first few days after birth to third birthday portraits, I find there is nothing more priceless than creating a memorable photograph that captures a special moment in time.
